Preface
I remember once seeing an experienced mechanic sharpening
his pocket knife. He meticulously moved it forward and
backward at a particular angle on what I thought was a plastic
tube. On further inquiry, he explained that the tube was
ceramic and not plastic. When he noticed I was paying
closer attention to his movements, he told me about the
particular methods that he believed were superior to the normal
ones. I listened and I learned. Whether other methods
would have been more efficient or
ultimately more beneficial was not the point. The point is that
he was good enough to show me his secret. If
we all listen to each other’s ideas, new ideas are
created. What a unique environment will we eventually
have where new ideas can flourish.
The Knowledge Center is a place where
experiences should be freely shared. Community members are
urged to share those methods, ideas and procedures that can benefit us
all.
